🐾 Forever Foster Needed for Ace — The Puppy Who Just Wants to Be Loved

The Humane Society of Union County is urgently seeking a forever foster home for Ace, a truly special puppy who has beaten the odds since the day he arrived.

Ace was born 12/2/25 and came to us at just 7 weeks old with his nine siblings. After showing a few concerning symptoms, he was diagnosed with a liver shunt, and later a CT scan revealed a second congenital defect involving his portal vein and caudal vena cava. This second issue makes him too high‑risk for surgery, even though we raised the funds and were ready to pursue it.

Despite everything, Ace is thriving. He is happy, playful, affectionate, and full of personality. You would never know he has medical challenges — he greets everyone with joy, loves attention, adores his toys and bones, and rides beautifully in the car. He’s crate‑trained, great on leash, and enjoys having a canine friend who matches his energy and temperament.

Ace will require medical management for life, but he is stable and doing wonderfully. Because of his unique condition, no one can predict his exact lifespan — which is why we want him to have the best life possible, surrounded by love and comfort.

A safe, loving home where Ace can live his life to the fullest.

He would do best with:

• No cats
• No young children
• A friendly dog companion
• Someone who can maintain his routine of three meals a day with medication (timing is flexible)
