Save-A-Heart

Heartworm disease is very serious, and can be fatal if not diagnosed early. While this disease is easy to prevent, many animals entering shelters around the country have never had access to heartworm preventative. Therefore we see large numbers of pets entering our shelter with this disease. The cost for the shelter to treat is between $300 and $500 per animal! At many shelters, these dogs would not be given a second chance. Thanks to donors who give to our Save-A-Heart program, we can continue to give these wonderful pets a second chance at a life they deserve!

Just a few special needs success stories!
